Speaker Bio

Benefits Manager with 15 years of experience. He has worked with L&F Distributors, LLC in Human Resources since 2008. His roles have been Human Resources Assistant, Human Resources Training and Development, and Human Resources Benefits Coordinator. With his experience, he can understand any potential barriers the employee might face when trying to navigate new health care options thereby optimizing benefits utilization. He’s had the privilege of working closely with ownership to design and implement a self-funded insurance plan. He helped establish disease management and care navigation programs as well as contracted surgery center benefits.   

He spends most of his time communicating the advantages of a contracted surgery center to employees who may not fully grasp this concept. By doing so, the employees have access to quality healthcare in a timely manner that is ultimately cost effective for the employer and employee. Witnessing this program unravel to the level of utilization it has reached has allowed him to see the positive impact it has on members and has been very fulfilling to be a part of.  

Andres lives in San Antonio with his wife, a surgical physician assistant, and their son.
