Leaders to Houston for April 14 Annual Employer Benefits Conference

HOUSTON – February 21, 2020 – The Houston Business Coalition on Health will host its annual conference for employers, health benefits professionals and other healthcare stakeholders on Tuesday, April 14 at the Post Oak Hilton Houston. Transparency: Clearing the Path to Value-based Purchasing is the theme for this year’s event that will feature presentations, panel discussions and workshops demonstrating that transparency in healthcare delivery is the tool that will allow wider stakeholder adoption of value-based purchasing strategies.

“This is the third year that we’re offering the opportunity for Houston area employers to hear and learnfrom nationally-relevant, purchaser-focused health benefit leaders,” said Chris Skisak, PhD, executive director for HBCH, a non-profit representing employer purchasers of healthcare. “We’re at a critical point in the status of our nation’s healthcare related to policy issues and it’s more important than ever for employers to take a seat at the table. The discussions and best practices that will be shared at our meeting offer invaluable insights to inform these conversations and negotiations.”
