Tony Lin, M.D., joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 1993 and is Kelsey-Seybold’s Chairman of the Board of Managers and CEO. Dr. Lin has been part of Kelsey-Seybold’s senior leadership team for over 20 years and has played an integral role in the multispecialty group’s development as the nation’s first NCQA-accredited Accountable Care Organization (ACO), as of 2012, and the development of KelseyCare Advantage, a 5-Star CMS-rated Medicare Advantage plan, five years in a row.

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is a 500+ provider-strong multispecialty clinic with locations across the Houston-Galveston region. In addition to owning its own Medicare Advantage plan, Kelsey-Seybold partners with many health plans to offer KelseyCare – a high-performance capitated commercial ACO plan. KelseyCare plans are known for being competitive, value-based plans that help employers in the region drive down the total cost of care while improving health outcomes for patients. 

During the early part of his career, Dr. Lin led the development of Kelsey-Seybold’s Hospitalist Services as a key component of the company’s accountable and coordinated care delivery system. Kelsey-Seybold’s hospitalist program continues to be an integral part of the KelseyCare value-based benefits offering, utilizing a comprehensive electronic medical record system, fully developed network of Kelsey-Seybold and affiliate hospitalist physicians, and an integrated post-discharge transition program. This coordinated program helps reduce hospital admissions, length of stay, and readmission rates. 

Under Dr. Lin’s guidance, Kelsey-Seybold has further expanded touchpoints that help improve value, including services in Population Health, Behavioral Health, Palliative Care, Virtual Health, and other integrated services to encompass the complete care of capitated patients. 

Today, Dr. Lin leads an accomplished executive management team that includes established administrative and medical professionals dedicated to the continued innovation and growth of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Dr. Lin and his team are committed to “Changing the way health cares” by evolving the way the clinic achieves better quality, better value, and a better experience for patients. 

Dr. Lin is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine-affiliated hospitals. He continues to see patients at the Spencer R. Berthelsen Main Campus near the Texas Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
