Azam Kundi
Azam Kundi, M.D., joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 1997 and was elevated to Chairman and CEO in 2025. Prior to this role, he served as Medical Director for Mergers and Acquisitions and as Vice Chairman of the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Board of Directors, where he has been an active member for more than a decade. Dr. Kundi continues to see patients at Kelsey-Seybold’s Berthelsen Main Campus.

Building on the momentum of a strong value-based care foundation, Dr. Kundi is leading the next phase of Kelsey-Seybold’s growth — expanding patient access, broadening clinical capabilities, and reinforcing the Clinic’s commitment to delivering coordinated, high-quality care as an integrated Optum partner. Kelsey-Seybold continues to expand its physical footprint, adding new locations, including cancer centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and advanced imaging centers, to deliver even more convenient, comprehensive care to patients across Greater Houston and neighboring communities.
Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Kundi earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University in 1992. He completed his Internal Medicine internship at the University of Texas in 1995, followed by his residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
He is an active member of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Kundi has also been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s Diabetes Recognition Program for delivering exceptional care to patients with diabetes.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kundi is passionate about supporting charitable healthcare organizations. He also enjoys spending time outdoors at his ranch near Livingston and hunting. Dr. Kundi is married and has a daughter and two sons.
