George Brown
Director of Health Plan Strategy and Operations
L&F Distributors, LLC

George Brown is a healthcare operations executive with over 20 years of “big system” experience. He has worked inside of large, integrated healthcare systems since 2001, with experience in specialty clinic operations, medical group practice formation, physician alignment, new facility development, and service line strategy. Before walking away from corporate healthcare in 2019, he served as a service line executive for a 40+ hospital “tax exempt” health system in Texas. He witnessed first-hand the misaligned incentives that exist in today’s healthcare system and is now focused on developing programs that restore the physician-patient relationship, bring better outcomes and experience to patients, and facilitate higher value for purchasers. He believes that self-funded employers have a unique opportunity to realign incentives in healthcare, which will drive down cost, reduce waste, and most importantly, improve quality.

George currently works as Director of Health Plan Strategy and Operations for L&F Distributors, a beverage distribution company with 1,500 employees throughout Texas and New Mexico. L&F Distributors’s owner, Joe LaMantia III, has been a pioneer and entrepreneur in the self-funded employer health plan and group captive space for over a decade.
